December 5th
We had John's coworker, Ece Hurr, over for dinner tonight. She recently went to the doctor and they find nodules on her thyroid. She has to have a biopsy to see if they are cancerous. She is feeling very scared. She has no family here, she is from Turkey and her family is there, so we wanted to show her our support. We have spent time with her off and on through out the year. She came with us last year to see the Christmas lights at the Temple. She has also come to church with us. And John watched her cats for her while she was in Turkey visiting during the summer. Also, she came with us to the Zollinger's for Thanksgiving. She is a very nice woman and she loves the kids. I was very happy with the kids behavior while she was here. Matthew loved having her here. He loves attention from women. And Kara loved having someone new to share her art with. We all drew Faberge eggs together at her request. (She had showed Ece the one she drew after we watched a documentary about Faberge eggs and she loved so Kara wanted to make more.) Kara is very talented. I was very proud that they were so good and so nice to Ece. They treated her like one of the family. It was nice to see. I love my children they are such good examples to me.
